My name is Ben Barker. I am a husband, father of two, and fitness enthusiast. I want to help dads defeat the typical "dad bod" and find themselves in their best shape yet. I created Dad WOD as way to help busy dads find time to workout despite how swamped life becomes. Dad WODs should be done in 30-45 minutes at most and require little to no equipment.
What is the Dad Bod?
The typical "Dad Bod" includes a nice sized gut. According major health organizations, a waist size of 37 inches or greater increases one's risk of heart disease and stroke. Fat that accumulates around the waist is more dangerous than on the hips. As men we generally gain wait in the stomach area (bad news). This can mean fat coating your internal organs, also bad! Let's be real, aesthetically a round waist just doesn't look great. We can all do better.
